Through storytelling, education, and cultural exchange, we invite people to engage deeply with history, identity, and the power of dialogue to shape a more inclusive future.

Local Impact:
Hogan’s Alley Walking Tour
Honoring the Past, Inspiring the Future

Discover the rich history of Hogan’s Alley, once the heart of Vancouver’s vibrant Black Strathcona.
Join Lama on guided walking tours that honour and celebrate the legacy of this influential community.
Between 1919 and 1972, Hogan’s Alley became the entertainment district of Vancouver. Clients came to enjoy good jazz and eat soul food. Hogan’s Alley was displaced by the city of Vancouver's urban renewal policy to build the Georgia and Dunsmuir viaducts.

“To know where we’re going, we must first understand where we’ve been.” — Lama Mugabo
